dancing tips?
Q. i am taking dance class instead of gym at my school. i have poor balance and am a beginner in dancing and some of the girls in my class are on the dance team so i feel a little intimidated because they are so good. we are doing a jazz square right now and we have to do this turn. i tried to do it but i ended up losing my balance and struggled when doing the moves. also, i am having a hard time keeping up with my teacher and classmates because i guess i am a slow learner. anyone have any tips that would help me get better and not get left behind in my dance class?

A. Balance is something you develop as you strengthen the muscles in your feet, ankles, legs and torso (core muscles). It's normal that you don't have great balance now...it will come with time. All of the people you are in the class with were beginners once too. If they are snobs about being better than you that only shows how shallow they are. Don't worry about not being as good...YET. They have more experience than you do and when you've had more practice and experience you'll be better too. Then remember the beginners and how hard it is to come into a class like yours and help them out. If there's anyone in your class who seems friendly and approachable, talk to them and see if they can give you some pointers and/or help you practice. … [cont.]

How do you bust a move at school dances?
Q. 'm lame I know. I'm going to a school dance next friday, and I would like to bust a move, but I'm not sure how. I'm a junior in high school. I don't want to freak dance or grind or rub my pelvic area on anyone. That's just not my cup O' tea. I also don't want to look like a square. I normally joke around when I get on the dance floor. I bust out "the sprinkler" or "the Q-tip" or some lame attempt at a Michael Jackson move. If a upbeat song comes on should I go all out and start krumping? And a slow song, should I waltz? Anyway if ya got any youtube videos or music videos that could help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks :)

where to go out in NYC?
Q. I'm visiting NYC next week with a friend and would like some ideas on things to do in the evenings. We like wine bars, and dancing. We are thirty somethings who like nice, safe places but not too expensive! We are staying in Times Square. Any other tips for first time visitors from the UK welcome please Thanks

A. Hey there! You would really enjoy Greenwich Village. There is a nice Irish pub named Slane Pub on the corner of MacDougal and Bleecker Streets. I've met a ton of people from the UK there and they always love it. There are a ton of other pubs, bars, wine bars, great places to eat, clubs, etc in that area and the Village is a cheaper part of Manhattan, but very hip and perfect for someone your age. I hope that helps and have fun!

Are wing tips (dress shoes) out of style? Do I need to buy some new shoes?
Q. I've got a formal dance type thing coming up for my medical school class and I'd like to make a good impression on the ladies. I've always worn my Johnston and Murphy wing tips whenever I wear a suit, but when I mentioned that it was time to break out the wing tips again, a couple of my friends laughed and said that they are way out of style! They say I need something with a square toe or whatever. I'm interested mainly in the ladies' opinion since they are the ones I care to impress. Please help!? Do I need new shoes, or can I go with the classic?
Asked by Brock - Thu Nov 20 21:12:59 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I consider wing tips to be a classic; i.e. never going out of style. They may not be considered trendy at this point in time, but trends come and go. I still say they're classic and brands wouldn't still be manufacturing them if they weren't being worn.

I am trying to lose 23 pounds by September 1st. HELP ME!?
Q. Hi guys. I'm trying to lose 23 lbs over the summer, or at least 10. My new diet is now three square meals a day- each meal a Weight Watchers microwave diet which consists of 250 calories and 7 grams of fat. I also have a side of fruit here and there, and only drink Tap water or Lemon-flavored, 50-calorie Vitamin Water. I'm thirteen years old. And, I cannot ride a bike, run anywhere without getting run over by a car, jump rope(don't know how), or walk anywhere daily, really. I do, however, have a Dance Dance Revolution game(supernova), but I can only do Basic mode, which is one higher than beginner. Will I burn fat this way? How much exercise and what do I have to do to reach this goal? It's really important to me. What are some fun… [cont.]

One more thing too.Ask where your county's nutrional office is.Free of charge, they will design a food pyramid customed just for you for ages 18 and under.Like having a personal trainer without spending money. "But I hated 306 because it was a threat. A very large threat. It was dangerous to be in such an exposed spot. The windows made it only too easy to spy. They also prevented easy access for any attacks. It always made me nervous when I was in this room.".. It is annoying to read because they are short, broken-up sentences. You can blend them and make them a bit easier to read, like, for instance, "It was dangerous to be in such an exposed spot, because the windows made it only too easy to spy." Also, the sentence "They also prevented easy access for any attacks" doesn't make… [cont.]
