Q. ok so im a very very nervous and anxious flyer, and next week im flying to san fran from london on my own im 18 and its my first flight alone...please comment if u have tips please im freakin out

A. OH my dearest newest friend Darren. Don't worry, you will be fine. The longest flight I have ever taken is LAX to BKK(bangkok) it was 17 hours!! Make sure you have all the docs needed to travel, also bring a backpack on board with you with plenty of things to entertain you and keep you comfortable ( bring a blanket for recreation- you know what I mean.. wink) Make sure you bring some cash in case the airline you are traveling on sells their meals or drinks. Bring a neck pillow and ear plugs so you can nap (you will especially glad about these if you get seated next to a screaming child!) Also bring a book and your ipod. Keep in mind that for transatlantic flights you usually get entertainment such as movies playing in the cabin,… [cont.]

How can I make tips being a door girl at a gentleman's club?
Q. I know door girls just sit there and charge the entrance fees, but they're suppose to make tips... What can we do to make tips or how to increase our tips, other then just wait for someone to drop a dollar in the jar?

How much tips to you leave in a restaurant?
Q. I start to live in the UK and never really knows how to tip. Some leaves 10% in general, and nothing in fast food. Other always tips one or two pounds whatever the price. If you pay by card, do you pay more with your card or do you leave some coins on the table? thank you!

A. It's usually better to tip the correct percentage in cash/coins as the restaurant and the waiters have to have a certain percentage taken out for basically paying the credit card use fee. Also in some restaurants tips left on cards are distributed among the staff at the end of a night instead of given directly to your specific staff. If possible, tip in currency- if not, tip on the card. This site has some great rules for international tipping. Check it out: ps for some of you getting angry and freaking out about people "not tipping" or "tipping badly" and talking about what wait staff in the US make... can you read the question? Tipping etiquette is not the same in the UK. Grow up.
